Latte art in three simple steps

Latte art in three simple steps

There’s nothing more satisfying than creating great latte art that you know will impress a customer. We’ve created a handy guide to bust the myth that latte art is hard. It’s as simple as one, two, three.

Step one: be prepared

As that age old phrase goes ‘fail to prepare, then prepare to fail’. If you’ve got your milk at the perfect temperature and texture, don’t let it sit while you extract your espresso. Get your espresso on the go, then steam your milk so they’re ready at the same time.

Step two: gently pour

All good things come with time and patience. Be gentle with your pour so you can control the speed your milk comes out at. Too quick or too slow could ruin your latte art. Keep the speed consistent and pour straight into the centre of your cup. You’re looking to create a circular white shape in the middle, ready to become a heart.

Step three: strike through

To get that classic latte art heart (something that’s fun to say and fun to do), strike through the centre of your circle with the last of the milk in your jug. It’s really that simple.

Follow these steps and watch the video below to get great latte art, every time.
